Interested in learning how to take care of a boat? America’s Boating Course is now being offered by the Marblehead Sail and Power Squadron. This course helps participants get a grip with the essential safety and seamanship information.

This is a great course for both beginners and those who want a bit of a refresher (having not been on the water for the whole winter). As well, young boaters who need to get their Massachusetts Boaters Safety Certificate, can do this course for that.

The course comprises four two-hour sessions and an exam. It starts on Wednesday May 7 from 7-9pm. After the exam there will be a further two sessions on charting and navigation. Price is $60 (for the course, textbook and CD). Register on the MSPS website.
