As part of their ongoing “Professional Speaker Series” the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Karen Andreas, publisher at North of Boston Media Group. Andreas will be speaking on the topic “Forward Thinking Communications Strategies- Top of Your Game.” The talk is scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at 8am.

SalemFive, the local banking, insurance and investments firm will be sponsoring the talk. Breakfast will be served and provided by “Every Little Breeze Catering.”

North of Boston Media Group publishes eight regional newspapers, including The Salem News, The Eagle-Tribune, the Daily News of Newburyport, and the Gloucester Daily Times. The Group is also responsible for all the papers’ affiliated websites and magazines.

Andreas has been involved in publishing and media for over 20 years. Before she took on the responsibility for all of the Group’s newspapers in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, Andreas worked for six years as the publisher of The Salem News.

The talk, including breakfast, is priced at $10 for members of the Chamber of Commerce. The Masonic Temple, where the Chamber is located is at 62 Pleasant Street in Marblehead. Other talks coming up in the series are Andrew Christensen speaking on “The Difference Between Estate Planning and Elder Law / Asset Preservation Planning,” on Wednesday, July 16; and Rafe Hershfield (Sir Speedy) speaking on “Marketing and Social Media – from beginner to expert,” on Thursday, September 18.
