Marblehead Lawyer Makes the List

The oldest peer-review publication for lawyers and all things legal has just come out with the US News Best Lawyers in America listing. They have ranked Marblehead resident Richard P. Breed II as among the best lawyers for 2016. Breed is a partner with Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers in Boston. He was named a Best Lawyer in Trust & Estates and this is the fifth year in a row that he has made the list.

The publication is regarded as one of the best and conducts exhaustive peer-review surveys. More than 41,000 attorneys cast their votes that equal 3.9 million votes on legal abilities of other lawyers.

Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The Northeastern Massachusetts Walk to End Alzheimer’s took place on Sunday, September 20th at Brickstone Park in Andover. As Jim Wessler, President and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH Chapter said, “If we are to be successful in finding effective treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, we will need thousands of people to commit to raising public awareness. The money raised by the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is critical to our fight against this disease. We are grateful to each person who makes a commitment to participate by walking, donating or volunteering.”

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is their biggest event each year to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Find out more at alzwalkMANH.org.

Marblehead Dentists Given Award

Two Marblehead residents, Steven Baratz DMD and Todd Belfbecker DMD were recently recognized by the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) as William McKenna Volunteer Heroes. This is a statewide organization that has about 5000 dental members in it. The award is given in memory of the late Dr. William H. McKenna.

Jackson 5 Coming to the Area

The Jackson 5 is having its 50th anniversary this year, and to celebrate they will be at the North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly on Sunday, September 6th, 2015. The special performance will include video footage that chronicles the evolution of The Jacksons. It also includes the mega-hits that were made famous by Michael Jackson.

Performing without Michael this time around, brother Marlon said, “It’s a great feeling. You feel his presence. Trust me, you do miss him. I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I said otherwise.”
